The Zoo...again...

So we went once again to the Zoo...we just cant get enough of the zoo... So we made the hour trek up to Cleveland to go to the Cleveland Zoo b/c the Akron Zoo doesnt have the rainforest and I wanted to go there. Anyways, we got to go to the "Touch" Exhibit with the sharks and stingrays. The boys got up quickly to see what was in the water. They were all about "petting" the stingrays until the first one swam by fast and slapped the wall with its....fin? and splashed Brenden in the face soaking him. Needless to say he wasnt happy about it. Peyton on the other hand loved the singrays...he liked spalshing in the water too.

After we left the stingray exhibit, we went to the Butterfly Gardens. It was so cool to see the butterflies just flying all around you. The boys kept going "bu-fflies - bu-fflies!" They were nice to look at but when one tried to land on Brenden he wasnt to thrilled about that.
They screached and tried to run away...from a butterfly. Ugh

I also wanted to show every one what Peyton learned to do....he's so proud of himself.

Just Incase you didnt see...

So i sent out an email about the movie that I made and posted on YOUTUBE but i'm not sure that everyone got it b/c I got a few returned emails. Anyways, I made this as an "awareness video" about Retinoblastoma (the cancer that the boys have). It's only 10 minutes long so if you havent seen it, check it out.

Now, i took the boys to Kiddie Kandids to get their pictures taken. Two hours later and a mommy with a headache, we got these beautiful pictures.

All the Boys (haha my three sons)

I so love barefeet pics - but they definately told the lady she had to smell their "stinky pigs".

Twinsdays and stuck in the bathroom....

So...lets see, lots has went on! We went to TwinsDays in Twinsburg this past weekend...we walked in a parade with Peyton and the twins and were surrounded by approximately 1, 400+ SETS of twins...not people but sets. Crazy, everywhere you looked. Anyways, I made all of our shirts. The boys t-shirts said " Twingenuity (twin-ge-nu-i-ty) (n.) Inventive skill of combining the efforts of two toddlers in the pursuit of a common goal (i.e. candy, toys, room destruction, nap evasion, etc.) See also - twintelligence" and on the back, it said their names and had either 01 or 02 on it. The theme was sports so i tried to make them look like jerseys. Our (me, rick, mom and dads') shirts had Brenden, Landon and Peyton on the front and the back said "Mommy 23 Miracles" "Grandma 23 Miracles" and you get the point. Peytons shirt said "i'm a TGA Survivor " and the back said "and you thought you were tough" They were totally cute and sooo many people asked about where we got them from. Ha ha ha I made them!!!!! Anyways, the whole day was great and we got a pic taken of all of the twins there and the boys...

So let me share this with you - I guess welcome to toddler hood or....welcome to life with twins. The other night, about 3 weeks ago (i'm a little bit late downloading picutres) I woke up at about 4am. I heard someone talking outside of my door. Now keep in mind, my door is oposite the bathroom door. The boys door is beside mine and mom and dads is beside that one. So i listen for a minute and it's my dad....he sounds sort of upset, worried or frantic. So i walk out into the hallway. He's in a t-shirt....talking to the bathroom door. He's going "It's okay buddy, paps out here...can you talk to pap? Paps here...." and jiggling the door handle. I"m thinking "ugh, he's gone crazy..what is he doing. So i say "dad, what are you doing" and he tells me "Well, i got up to get in the shower before work and i knocked on the door like i normally do....and someone knocked back. Now i know that your mom is in bed and she wouldnt have knocked back anyways. I also know that you wouldnt have knocked back and Peyton couldnt be out of bed....so.....one of the twins is in the bathroom...and the door is locked." Yeap you guessed it, Brenden had locked himself in the bathroom at about 4am....or sooner, who knows...but this is what we found when we took the handle off of the door to get him out. Now, the lights were off as well and all he had was a nightlight....and the cat.

So....welcome to my life....lol. Anyways, it's late, past my bedtime and such so i'll try and post more tomorrow..i have some more cute pics from twinsdays.

Boy: n. (boy) A noise with dirt on it.

So we've been pretty busy. Towards the middle of the month, Rick and I went to the wedding of our close friend from college. Sara (duh the one in the middle in the wedding dress) had met Daniel on Match.com and a year later, they're now married. Anyways, it was like a college reunion b/c 3 of the girls were my sorority sisters and the other was in our ed. department classes. In the pic below is Jamie (she's about 8 months preggo...and ate all the cake she could find), Me, Sara - the bride, Kristina and Megan (my roommates senior year when we had an apartment....well actually it was sara, kristina megan and me...so all four of us were there.) We had a great night and danced as much as we could - maybe that was the alcohol playing a part lol. Anyways, it was great to see everyone!

Next pictures...summer fun. What else can i say. With three boys this includes water, dirt, mud, bugs, bees, swimming, popsicles, ice cream cones and lots and lots of baths to get the dirt off. So...here ya go.....

Mud: n. (mud) A wet, sticky, soft earth as on the banks of a river. Can be found in water tables, cups, pants, diapers, hair, ears, mouth...etc but originally came from: that pot of plants that you see in the very right hand corner of the picture. Yeap, you guessed it, while no one was looking, the boys made mud pies out of grandmas potting soil.

Innocent: n. (in' e - sent) A person, especially a child, who is free of evil or sin. See picture below - no further explanation other than mommy picked out this adorable outfit for Peyton to wear and got a kick out of taking 50 zillion pics of him in it. He only looks innocent though.

scar: n. (skar) A mark left on the skin after a surface injury or wound has healed. Just thought I would share this...after 8 months, look how great his scar from his heart surgery looks. You can hardly tell it's there!
Splash: v.intr. (splash) To cause a fluid to scatter in flying masses: splashed about in the swimming pool. Which is exactly what we did. Put a pool and a slide together and hours of fun can be had. It was a great time watching the boys run from the pool to the slide and then back again. This is Landon going down the slide - i love how the camera caught the water.
And last but not least, if you have ever wondered how exactly to get a sprinkler to work, you need not look anymore. Just ask Brenden.

If infact your sprinker doesnt work, just add water...I mean, physically dump the water into the sprinker and wait. If it doesnt work, add more water - it's bound to work - maybe. Try it...let us know LOL. check back for more pics.

Forget the Big Bad Wolf...who's affraid of fireworks?

Friends, family....i introduce to you....Larry the Cable Guy when he was a baby. LOL.. Dad called me out onto the porch on the 4th and showed me this. B/c of Peytons shirts and his hat, he looked just like a Larry the Cable Guy baby. LOL.

So, this is where we spend most of our time. On the back deck in the "Ga-zee-be". The boys like to play with the quad they got for their birthday, blow bubbles and play with the big lego blocks. The've learned some new words recently. Brenden likes to say "No..." Ha! Cute at first but then it turns so "okay lets go to bed" "No". Or "Okay, lets go eat" "no". so....that's alot of fun. We also learned the word "Bee" such as the annoying thing that stings you. But if you ask brenden, anything is a bee. We've also learned "Duh" thanks to Grandma. Brenden took the big ball bat over to pap.
Pap: Yeah, that's a big ball bat.
Brenden: Duh.
OR
Mommy: *Brenden hands me Peytons toy* "Yeah, that's Baby P's toy..."
Brenden: Duh.

Kids.

Fireworks, yeap, they were beautiful - we got to see them....as we were packing the van back up b/c the boys were affraid of them. LOL, the first one went off and got their attention and then the second one went off and they were done. Wanted nothign to do with them. So we left before the finale, okay we left before they had pretty much even started. Here's a picture though.

Pools open! Yeah! The temp was only 76 but we got in. Well, mom and rick and I did. Peyton got in .... the raft. He loved it. Can you tell?

Not much else going on. Not alot of time right now to post, we're loving the summer weather but i'll try and post more later. Thanks for checkin in!
